Optical Character Recognition

Accurate conversion of a scanned image to text is a semi automated process. Software based OCR can provide up to 90 percent accuracy. Training the software to read broken and faded characters in one particular set of documents increases this accuracy to 95-98 percent. Further manual corrections are carried out to achieve near zero defect documents. We have developed an important windows based process to check the integrity of the optical character recognition.

Page formatting, numbering, tab settings services are also provided as per required specifications.

Conversion services include

· Auto Conversion Image to Text by OCR

· Manual Corrections to achieve near zero defect (95-99.5% accuracy).

· Conversion to PDF, PDF with Hidden Text, Word, Excel, HTML, XML.

· Raster to vector conversion for engineering drawings and maps

The best way of presenting a document with OCR is to allow the reader to see the original images (the scanned images), but to make them searchable. Its is like having the page on screen on the computer, but with a hidden page of text behind it. The search looks for a word, or even part of a word or a phrase on that hidden text, and then shines a highlight through to the surface where those words appear on the real page
